ReEnFoCo, Inc. focuses on developing and promoting community development and resilient infrastructure projects
to strengthen vulnerable communities, especially in regions where residents suffer from a lack of electricity,
water, and other reliable public services.
ReEnFoCo focuses its attention on communities in Puerto Rico's
Cordillera Central mountain range, specifically in the municipalities of Adjuntas, Jayuya, Lares, Maricao, and Utuado.
These are among the least resourced municipalities in Puerto Rico. ReEnFoCo is dedicated to helping these rural
communities organically improve their resilience.
"ReEnFoCo" is a portmanteau acronym made up of the Spanish phrase "Resiliencia Energética Fotovoltaica Comunitaria". In English, this describes what ReEnFoCo, Inc. is all about: resilient community energy.
